Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement today regarding the March for Life and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act: “Today, tens of thousands of proud, pro-life Americans will descend on our nation’s capital for the annual March for Life. For over half a century, this movement has united people across all ages, faiths, and backgrounds. I’m committed to supporting this fundamental issue in the Senate, and I’m proud of my 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. This week, I voted once again in support of legislation that would protect babies who survive abortions. Kentuckians agree that defending a child’s life – as the law states – shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Unfortunately, Democrats once again blocked passage of this commonsense legislation.
